MC Rules

The MC protocol is used by Mitsubishi Q series PLCs for data exchange with other devices. Use MC Rules to configure communication between the NexusIM gateway and Mitsubishi Q series PLCs through the MC protocol.

Go to Sensor Data > Devices and Rules > MC Rules to view and configure MC rules.

1. Preview the current value collected from the southbound device for this rule.
2. Edit the added rule.
3. Delete the added rule.
4. Add a new rule.
5. Export or import the rules configuration as a CSV template file. This is useful for configuration backups and batch operations.

Add an MC Rule

Click Add to create a new MC rule.

1. Set the MC rule order.

2. Specify the southbound device name.

3. Configure the interface to which the southbound device is connected.

   note

   Select the MC protocol in Interface > Serial Port Configuration or TCP Server Configuration before configuring an MC communication rule.

4. Configure the Tag Name for data collected from the southbound device.

5. Configure the Mitsubishi Q series PLC data area. Options are X*, Y*, M*, L*, F*, V*, B*, D*, W*, TN, SN, and CN.

6. Configure the data start address.

7. Configure the register quantity.

8. Configure the register data type: Bit, Int, or Float.

9. Specify the reporting center to which the collected data is reported. The number corresponds to Servers > Reporting Server (1-5).

10. Configure the operator and operand for collected data.

11. Configure the accuracy of the calculated value, including the number of decimal places.

12. Enable or disable SMS and email reporting. A report is sent to the specified phone number and email address when the value changes or falls outside the configured range.

13. Enable or disable the rule.
